Meeting with teachers revealed that many teachers are stressed by the scheduling and logistics associated with directing a musical, and the idea of a "Unit Plan" arose from those meetings. So, over the last few months, we created the first draft of the Unit Plan to accompany “Motley & Spark”! It's full of resources that we hope will help save teachers time and reduce their stress, including:
1. 8-week rehearsal schedule with weekly rehearsal schedule overviews
2. Daily lesson plans for a music director
3. Daily lesson plans for a choreographer/theater director
4. Prop List
5. Mic Plot for various #s of mics
6. Daily HW slides for learning music
7. Costume concept slides
8. Character/Scene breakdown chart
